Today we fitted a reclaimed original cast iron insert with a pine surround and slate hearth as a purely decorative feature in Tooting.
We also carried out deliverys in East ,North and South West London. Dropping off restored cast iron period fireplaces and removed two cast iron insert fireplaces for restoration in East Dulwich. All in all a very busy day!! Uncategorized
We removed a cast iron surround from the property 2 weeks ago. We sandblasted the surround and polished it, we also had to fabricate a double skinned steel shelf to replace the wooden one. Then today we fitted it with a slate hearth and chamber piece, slate slips and a rendered chamber all ready for a solid fuel stove to be installed. Pics on www.facebook.com/rpsfireplaces soon. In Tulse Hill we installed an antique bedroom combination fireplace for purely decorative purposes. Fitted with a small slate hearth to finish it off.

In Herne Hill we supplied and fitted a Gallery Fireplaces tiled insert, made to measure flat Victorian pine surround and a slate hearth. All installed for solid fuel use. While over in Stoke Newington we refitted an antique combination fireplace, we had previously removed it for a full restoration. Uncategorized
Today we removed 12 cast iron fireplaces for restoration and refitting. Including 4 huge cast iron surrounds. Today we fitted 4 cast iron arch fireplaces with bespoke pine surrounds and granite hearths. 2 of the cast iron arched inserts were reclaimed from the property, sandblast and restored to a matt black finish, the other 2 we supplied from The Gallery Fireplaces Collection.
